Rico Control Unit 835 General Description The aim of this unit is to bring the filter voltage up to the continuously-changing flashover point so as to achieve as high a degree of separation as possible. The regulator works with the IST values. - primary values I [A] + U[V] (current and voltage at the transformer)
- secondary values U[kV] (filter voltage)
In automatic mode, when a flashover occurs in the filter, the filter voltage is regulated downwards by an adjustable value and is then brought up again to the flashover point via an adjustable time constant. A further piece of equipment enables you to pre-fix current values which cannot be exceeded. If there is a strong flashover or a sustained arc, the arc quenching disengages the thyristors for several half-waves until the spark gap in the filter is de-ionised. ConstructionBy the use of modern semi-conductors and SMD technology we have been able to house in a small space all the functions required for the optimum matching up of the voltage converter to the operation of an electrostatic precipitator. We have placed special emphasis on the design of the regulator so that it can be used for all units, not only new ones.
