Functional principle
When it sucks in ambient air, the compressor also sucks in dust particles and humidity. The compression process to levels of for instance 10 bar leads to ten times the water content in compressed air than in the ambient air. This high relative humidity can lead to corrosion in the lines or in devices that use the air.
The cold dryer removes the humidity from the pressurized air by cooling the pressurized air down below the dew point. As a result, the water condenses in the dryer and can be expelled.

Quality
Cold dryers are indispensible tools in the preparation of pressurized air. They are designed for permanent use in industrial applications and do their work without being intrusive or noisy. They are designed for operation at ambient temperatures ranging from +2 °C to +50 °C. The pressure dew point is +3 °C measured at the dryer outlet.
